2. Testimony of current headlines.
3. YOUR home is important.
II Some goals for the home
A. The home can be the place of work ethics or of laziness.

1. 1Th 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
2Th 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

a. It effect. Can get us Doctors, Nurses, Lawyers, Bankers, Butchers, Builders, Retailers. Think about it, morality matters.
B. Community example

1. Matt.5:13-16. Mat 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

2. We teach by word and example

3. Encourage positive involvement
C. To shape the future

1. Psa 78:5 For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:
Psa 78:6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:
Psa 78:7 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:

2. Today's parents are shaping tomorrow's leaders, fathers,
homemakers, voters, etc.

3. What you do today affects the life your grandchildren will enjoy or suffer, and also the lives of those around your grandchildren.
